- Did You Know?
- The Flamenco Dance originated in Andalusia, a province in the kingdom of Spain. The dance is associated with gypsies, and in fact, the term flamenco is considered by some historians to be synonymous with the Spanish word, gitano, a term meaning gypsy. Other experts say the term is in reference to the Flemish soldiers that occupied the territory during the early 1500s.
